Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts– Stage Manager 2005/2006
Webber Douglas Technical Stage Manager – Gloucester Road, London.

I am currently engaged at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts stage managing shows in their two spaces. I am responsible for design of sound, practical set requirements and lighting, and also for the construction of the set, hanging/focussing/plotting of lights, as well as the operation of lights and sound for the shows. I also prop the shows, as well as sourcing furniture and items for hire and purchase.

Roman Eagle Lodge: Venue 42 – Front of House Manager 2005
Roman Eagle Lodge Fringe Theatre Venue 42 – Johnston Terrace, Edinburgh.
Contracted to manage front of house for the duration of the festival, I was responsible initially for setting up the FOH area, design and build press display boards in the foyer of the building. I then trained the FOH staff for the festival, and once the festival opened, managed the day to day schedule of the venue from a FOH standpoint, including rota-building, promotion and general administration and ordering, as well as moving audiences in and out of the two spaces smoothly and with a minimum of fuss, while ensuring that members of the public felt well treated and satisfied with their experience at Roman Eagle Lodge.

Platform1 @ Polar Central – Venue Manager 2005
“Platform 1 New Writing Studio Theatre” – Polar Central, Brighton.
Hired to manage Platform 1, a new writing venue set up for the Brighton Fringe Festival. I was responsible for the rigging of the entire venue in accordance to the layout provided to me by the venue director. I created a basic lighting plot which could be used by multiple companies, and hung and focused the lights. I then coordinated the get-ins of all the companies, and ensured that their technical requirements fitted within the space we had available. During the month of May I supervised Box Office and FOH, as well as ensuring that the daily schedule kept working as the companies and their audiences moved in and out of the space. I was nominated as “Personality of the Fringe 2005”, Platform 1 was nominated as “Best Fringe Venue 2005”, and won “Best Innovation of the Fringe 2005”

Northern Edge – Stage Manager 2005
“Break Away” - Finborough Theatre, London.
Brought in at short notice to stage manage and operate lights and sound for the show. I supervised the get-in and get-out. During the run I was duty manager for the space.

Te Deum and The Bar Productions – Stage Manager 2005
“Cargo” – Oval House Upstairs, London.
Brought in at short notice to stage manage and operate sound for the show. I supervised get-in and get-out as well as hanging lights and constructing the set.

Small Fish Theatre – Stage Manager 2004-2005
“Anorak of Fire” – Touring Production, UK and UAE.
Production Manager for the tour, responsible for set construction and transport, props and costume during the tour, as well as Lighting Design, re-lighting and operation for each show.

Arts Educational School – Asst. Production Manager 2004
“Godspell” – Canizaro Park, Wimbledon.
Brought in at short notice to facilitate the transfer of the production from Arts Educational School to Canizaro Park as well as the re-construction of the set and its adaptation to the new space.

Asked in for post production to cover accounts payable, manual crew payroll, journals and budget analysis.

DeCo Productions – Stage Manager 2004
“Eyes Catch Fire” – Finborough Theatre, London.
I organized rehearsal schedules as well as propping the production and single handedly constructing the set to a tight deadline. Once in the space, I supervised the get-in and get-out as well as operating lights and sound. During the run I was duty manager for the space.

KDC – Stage Manager 2004
“Cider with Rosie” - Camden People’s Theatre, London.
I was brought in at short notice to prop and stage manage the show. I constructed the set and was responsible for designing and hanging lights.

I dealt with Royal Court paperwork as well as supervising the Stage Door and responding to mail.
